Oliveira de Azeméis Council guarantees "registration" of the Saint Louis Festivities

The saga of producing a documentary about the Festas em Honra de São Luís in Figueiredo, aimed at preserving the memory of a nearly century-old tradition, continues. On one side, we have the Oliveira de Azeméis City Council (CMOA), which has already assured the Diário de Aveiro (DA) that it "will fulfill its promise, producing a documentary or video record." On the other, there is the group of filmmakers with family ties to that town in the parish of Pinheiro da Bemposta, who, in 2024, presented a proposal to the municipality precisely to that effect. As of yesterday, they had not responded to an open letter they sent twice, on June 11th and July 30th, "requesting clarification," to the Oliveira de Azeméis municipality, which the DA also had access to. Until our newspaper contacted them last Sunday, Adalberto Pinto, one of the young people involved, only knew what third parties had told him about the matter.
